Vera Ustyugova

Vera Ustyugova is a candidate of historical sciences, an associate professor of the Department of Ancient and New History of Russia at the Perm State University. Scientific interests: early silent cinema; Belle Epoque; Art Nouveau; Cultural Modernity. Vera reads lecture courses on the history of culture, art, and cinema. In 1998-2001she was a scientific consultant at the Diaghilev House Foundation. In 2004, she had an internship at the Film Studies Department of the Gerasimov Institute of Cinematography (VGIK). She is the author of the book "La Belle Epoque of Cinematography. 1896-1919. On the material of the Russian province" (Perm, 2015).
