Tom Fassaert was born in 1979, grew up in the Netherlands and partly in South Africa. His films were screened at many festivals around the world and won a variety of prestigious nominations and awards (Special Jury Award at IDFA, the Gouden Kalf Award, etc.). The film “A Family Affair” was acquired by Netflix for global broadcasting. “Variety” newspaper named Tom “One of the Ten Docu-makers to Watch”.
