Competitive program «Russian «Flahertiana» is formed

Russian program of XIV international documentary film festival «Flahertiana» is formed. It traditionally includes documentaries filmed by Russian directors in the past year.

During the International documentary film festival «Flahertiana» Perm will see documentaries about communists hitch-hiking to Nepal (film «Nepal forever», director Alyona Polunina), sisters Karatyginy (film «Holocaust – is that wallpaper glue?», director Mumin Shakirov) and children living in orphanages (film «Mom, I will kill you», director Elena Pogrebizhskaya).

According to the Festival regulations, audience jury (which usually includes writers, directors and public characters) will choose the best film of «Russian «Flahertiana». Winner will be awarded with Small silver Nanook prize and 25 thousand rubles of prize money.

XIV international documentary film festival «Flahertiana» will take place in Perm from 21 to 28 September 2014. We remind you that only documentaries that develop the cinematography aesthetics first introduced by Robert Flaherty enter the competition.
