The selection of participants of the training and pitching Flahertiana Forum has been completed. This time the organizers received more than 100 applications. The shortlist includes 40 of them, one of them from Perm.

Ten participants will come to the Forum from the countries of the Eastern Partnership: Ukraine, Moldova, Georgia, Armenia, Belarus, Azerbaijan. Among the Russian film projects, there are several applications of the beginning directors - students of the scriptwriting workshop SiberiaDoc, the winners of the Moscow pitching of debutants and others wishing to receive support for their projects. The most interesting projects participating in the training will be selected to the pitching.

In addition to the beginning filmmakers, in pitching will participate already well-known documentarists. One of them is Perm director Alexei Romanov with his future film "The Principle of Passion" about the conductor Teodor Currentzis. Among other masters with new projects are Mumin Shakirov who showed the film "Holocaust – is that wallpaper glue?" at the festival (diploma for the best script), Irina Vasilieva ("My Brother Cain", "Beslan - the City of Angels"), operator and director Sergey Lando ("Ulyana Lopatkina or Dancing on Weekdays and Holidays", Laurel Branch award for camera work), Daria Khrenova ("Pavlensky. Naked Life", "Who Will Be My Husband"), and Svetlana Stasenko who received Lumiere Brothers Award "For Contribution to the Development of Cinematographic Language" in Lyon and other prizes (film "Shchepki" became the best documentary film at Kinotavr Film Festival).

Flahertiana Forum is held on the initiative of Perm Filmmakers Union, IDFF Flahertiana, German Association of Documentary filmmakers AG DOK and German Documentaries, and is supported by the Fund of Grants of the President of the Russian Federation and the Federal Foreign Office of Germany.
