Festival will announce the international competition shortlist in autumn. Due to the difficult epidemiological situation in the world and in Russia, the festival changed the festival dates to December 11-17. Also, the festival direction changed the notification date, the results of the selection committee will be announced in October. Full program of the festival will be available on the website in November.

“Despite the difficult situation in the world associated with the coronavirus pandemic and the forced self-isolation of directors and film crews, we received a large number of applications. Fortunately, many found the opportunity to complete their films under quarantine,” says Alina Stabrovskaya, the Chief Coordinator of Flahertiana.

This year, the organizing committee received 1,029 applications that qualify for participation in 3 competition programs. Of these, 721 are foreign films, 308 are Russian films (of which 86 are student works).

The selection committee of the festival started to form short lists of competition programs. Films that have passed the selection process and are applying for prizes of the jubilee Flahertiana will be announced in autumn.

We remind you that in connection with the epidemiological situation in Russia, the organizing committee decided to postpone the festival. Flahertiana 2020 will be held from December 11 to 17 in Perm.
