International Training and Pitching Flahertiana-Forum 2020 is open for submissions from Russian directors and producers. The Forum is held from December 12 to 17 during the XX International Documentary Film Festival Flahertiana. Applications are accepted until September 1st.

As the main objective of the Forum is to present film projects to potential co-producers interested in working with documentary filmmakers from Russia, the film projects applied for participation should have a potential for international co-production.

The Forums starts with training for directors and producers of selected projects. Renown and well-experienced filmmakers tutor them on how to shape and pitch their ideas. The best film projects will be presented at the pitching.

– send project materials as per Regulations to forum@flahertiana.ru/

Flahertiana Forum does not charge any fees for entry. The results of the selection will be announced not later than the 1st of October, 2020. Directors or producers of the selected projects may receive a fellowship, which covers expenses for travel and accommodation. 

For the past three years, Flahertiana Forum presented 77 projects to European producers and experts, of which 16 films have already been completed and shown to the audience. The Last Year by Zaka Abdrakhmanova and Resuscitation by Stanislav Stavinov and Andrey Timoshchenko participated in the last year’s competition programs of the Flahertiana Festival.

Flahertiana Forum is held on an initiative of IDFF Flahertiana, Perm Department of the Filmmakers Union of Russia, and is supported by the Ministry of Culture of the Perm Krai.
