According to the ticket service, about 10 000 people visited the screenings in Premier Cinema Center, screenings in universities and the auditoriums and classrooms, workshops, lectures and clubs. According to the Pavel Pechenkin, the President of the Festival, this is an absolute record for Flahertiana. President of the Festival has commented on the results of Flahertiana 2014: «In my opinion, the festival has two main results. Firstly, a year after we had Anatoliy Baluev commemoration meeting we installed a memorial to him in Kochyovo village. This is the first memorial to a documentary filmmaker in the world. The installation closed the link of time in the place where the director was born. It will be seen by the Kochyovo children as long as the school is open in the village, as long as the people live there. The second achievement is the development of the festival’s media education direction. Media education holds the key to Flahertiana’s future. This year we’ve confirmed the status of the festival as an educational ground for the universities and schools of the city.»
