Vladimir Gurfinkel

Theatre director

Born on May 21, 1962 in the city of Uman in Ukraine. He graduated from the Leningrad State Institute of Theater, Music and Cinematography and the Kiev Institute of Culture as director. In 1981 he staged his first performance. From 1982 to 1996 he worked as a guest director in theatres of Kiev, Baku, Ashkhabad, St. Petersburg, Krasnoyarsk, Norilsk, Lviv, Orenburg, Sevastopol, Perm. He was the chief director of the Yekaterinburg Academic Drama Theater and the artistic director of the Chelyabinsk Drama Theater. Since 2014 he has been the main director of the Perm Academic Theater-Theater.
