Anton Mazurov

Art-film curator, film historian, film critic, film distributor, teacher

He graduated from the film science department of the Gerasimov Institute of Cinematography (VGIK, workshop of L. Zaitseva and L. Mamatova). He worked in the State Central Film Museum, then film critic of the "Nezavisimaya gazeta", as the screenwriter of the program "This Movie" on Channel One Russia. He was the director of PR and advertising of the film distribution company Creative Union "East-West" (now — UIP). One of the authors of the manifesto of the art-house distribution in Russia "PROJECT 35" which has been implemented since 2000 in the cinema "35 MM" in Moscow. Worked as the creative director of the Russian film distribution company Cosmopol Film Distribution (now Cinema without Borders), vice president and creative director of the Russian distribution company Cinema without Borders and its founder, the Swedish film company Maywin Media AB. Together with Sergei Livnev, he created the production and distribution art-film company "LeopART" and the information portal about the art cinema KINOTE. Was the program director of the festival of modern art cinema "2morrow". Together with producer Yevgeny Gindilis, he organized the first Russian international film market "Red Square Screenings" (RSS) in partnership with Cannes Marche du film. In January 2013 he established the international company ANT!PODE Sales & Distribution. Read a course of public lectures on the history of foreign non-feature films in the DOCUMENTARY FILM CENTER (DFC) in Moscow. Lecturer in the Moscow branch of the New York Film Academy.
