Flahertiana Forum

The International Training and Pitching Flahertiana Forum for documentary film projects from Russia and Eastern Partnership is held in Perm, Russia, as part of the International Documentary Film Festival “Flahertiana”.

The main objective of the Forum is to present documentary films at an early stage of development to potential producers interested in cooperation with documentary filmmakers from Russia and the Eastern Partnership (Armenia, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Georgia, Moldova, and Ukraine).

The Forum includes two major events: a training for film students, beginning directors and producers and a pitching for projects of professional filmmakers and best projects selected after the training.

During the training well-experienced producers and directors from different countries will lead workshops, seminars, training and individual consultations that are aimed at giving recommendations to the training participants on how to pitch their projects.

During the pitching training participants with best projects along with professional filmmakers will pitch their projects to experts (producers, distributors and TV commissioning editors) from Russia and Western Europe.
