End of the World (16+)

Poland, 2015, colour, 40 min.
Director: Monika Pawluczuk
Intimate, creative and visual documentary where couple of stories meet in one night. During that one night, people in a big city, troubled by loneliness, want to talk to someone. Some of them call 112, even if it is not really necessary, and others call the radio, where the speaker asks the question about the end of the world: what it means to each one of us. They talk about things that are tragic, painful, small, funny. Their need to be heard, to share their experience with someone else is evident and moving. The radio is a motif linking this nights’ events – binds the elements of the film together in terms of structure and meaning: this is the source of the most important questions.
