Martijn Blekendaal
studied history at the University of Amsterdam, and worked as commisioning editor, director and researcher for several Dutch national broadcasting companies. He has also worked as a reporter for different newspapers and magazines. In 2009 he won the prestigious Mediafund Documentary Award for his film script of The Man in Black, which premiered at the International Documentary Film Festival Amsterdam (IDFA) 2011.
