The last and the grandest Museum of Lenin appeared at the edge of Perestroika, in 1987, after long period of constructing in village Gorki, where Lenin spent last years of his life. Soon after opening ideology of the country changed, and number of visitors reduced. Nonetheless, museum still works, and its authorities try to find ways of attracting visitors. Faithful to Lenin keepers of the museum fight coming commercialization as they can. Film tells the story of this amazing museum-reservation and people working there.

Askold Kurov

was born in 1974 in Uzbekistan. Since 1991, he has been living in Russia. In 2010, he graduated from documentary film workshop of Marina Razbezhkina.
