Her mother, the driving force behind her career, sold their house and car to send 14 year old Maiko to the most prestigious dancing schools in Europe. Today Maiko is 32 on top of her career as a prima ballerina at the Norwegian National Ballet. The ballerina decides to have a baby and keep her dancing career as the best dancer.

is a Norwegian born filmmaker who made her directorial debut with the documentary, ‘Our Man in Kirkenes’ (2010) screened at NRK and YLE and then "I am Kuba" pitched at IDFA Forum in 2013. "Maiko's Dance" is her first feature length documentary.
