Gabbas Davletshin, author of the first Bashkir language textbook, was repressed and shot in 1937. It became Marguba Davletshina’s life mission to return the undeservingly forgotten linguist and original man’s name into people’s lives. Not only did she collect the papers and works by Gabbas Davletshin, but also found and united the relatives. The personal story has become time’s testament, in which the whole country has been living.

is a director, scriptwriter and producer. She graduated from Leningrad university, then from VGIK. Davletshina worked in Leningrad Studio of Documentary Films, Sverdlovsk Film Studio and West-Siberia Film Studio. She is a participant and winner of various international festivals. She is the director of «Meetings in Siberia» and International Documentary Film Festival «Meetings in Siberia», Novosibirsk.
