Sergei Loznitsa

Sergei Loznitsa

was born in 1964 in the city of Baranovichi, in Belarus. In 1987 he graduated from Kyiv Polytechnic Institute with a degree in Applied Mathematics. He then entered feature film directing workshop of Nana Djordjadze, Irakli Kvirikadze and Andrey Sirenko in VGIK (Gerasimov Institute of Cinematograpgy, Moscow), from which he graduated with honours in 1996.
