This is a story of long and difficult way of a guest worker to his dream house. Kirgizia born Uigur, he tries to settle in metropolis while his wife and two children stay back home. Having passed through multiple financial and bureaucratic difficulties, and being owner of his own business he finally understands: he will never belong here.

Alexander Kiselyov

Alexander Kiselyov

was born in 1944 in Leningrad. He has been working as a director at the St. Petersburg Documentary Film Studio since 1979. He graduated from the Academy of Culture in St. Petersburg and attended special film director’s courses at the Moscow Institute of Cinematography. He is now a member of the Russian Filmmakers Union. He has filmed about 40 documentaries.
