Besame Mucho (12+)

Russia, 2006, colour, 28 min.
Director: Alina Rudnitskaya
Tikhvin Amateur Female Choir is rehearsing “Aida”. In the daytime, these women work in the shop, clean, load boxes, fight illnesses and in the evening, they come to a different world. Their lives are now full of dreams and expectations of something bigger and brighter than their everyday life, which is sometimes very tough. A short visit of a long-expected Italian team they were rehearsing for is both a party and a touchstone: they dreams were only dreams. Full of sorrow and humour this film presents rural life as it is in Russia today.
