We Don’t Need Your Life (12+)

Russia, 1993, colour, 29 min.
Director: Igor Grigoriev
This film is about the difficult fate of the Nenets deer-breeders of Yamal. The authors, after walking with a team of deer breeders for many hundreds of kilometers, introduce us the life, relationships, and traditions of the Nenets. They tell how people from the Big Land deprive their ancestral pastures by laying gas pipelines, how our civilization destroys their habitual way of life, imposing their values, their way of life. And they do not accept it, they do not need it.
