How to search and find your own identity? A coming-of-age film that also talks about the themes of flight, disruption and integration and explores the question: what can be home? Haris was born in Dresden. The teenager and his Bosnian mother both have only limited leave to remain in Germany. Rejected, Haris creates a Bosnian identity himself – unlike his sister who is fully integrated.

Bettina Renner

was born in 1974 in the town of Bautzen (former East Germany). From 1994 to 2002 she went to the University of Dresden and Ohio Wesleyan University and got her Master degree in American Studies (Cultural Studies), Communication Sciences and Economics. In 2001 she participated in Tribal Touring Program of the American Indian Film Institute, San Francisco. In 2002 – 2003, she studied and trained in filmmaking and broadcasting at the german broadcast ZDF. In 2003 – 2004, Bettina organised the broadcast for ZDF at the German film festival Berlinale. Since 2005, she has been a freelance director for documentaries and commercials. In 2009, Bettina took part in Documentary Camps Masterclass.
