Boris Pasternak spent in Perm region only half a year (January – June 1916) but the Perm time defined Pasternak destiny as he’d just faced the identity formation. It was in Perm wherehe made his choice in favour of literature. For Pasternak the Ural was always a fruitful source of images, pictures and ideas. Ural tunes appeared in Pasternak poetry and prose and gave grounds to his Nobel Prize winner novel ‘Doctor Zhivago'.
