The Fugue (0+)

USSR , 1988, colour, 76 min.
Director: Anatoly Baluev
Film is a mixture of newsreel of almost all countries and nations from the end of XIX century until 1980s. Parallel to the documentary shots throughout the picture as a common thread goes a fiction or staged story with some well-known actors. The film is silent: no actor's dialogues, announcer's explanations or notes of any kind. The idea of the movie could be summarized by a laconic aphorism: "In the XX century the mankind became mortal".

AWARDS

Prize "For the talented director" at the First Russian festival of documentary films (Volgodonsk)
