A 23-year-old Afghan woman, Khatera, has spent her childhood in the atmosphere of violence. Main villain of her life is her own father. Now, to seek justice, Khatera confronts the will of her family, traditions of her country and Afghan judicial system so rarely protecting the women. Her battle demonstrates the power of conscious action over fear.

Sahra Mani

received her master degree in documentary film-making from the University of Arts London. Her works as a producer, director focused on human rights, equality and justice. As a lecturer at Kabul University, she organized several Film Festivals and training. Mani’s films have screened at film festivals around the world and aired on broadcast networks globally. Her Full-Length documentary film, “A Thousand Girls like Me” was screening at many film festivals like HotDocs, Sheffield, IDFA and won more than 25 awards worldwide including: three GOLD Awards at New York Festivals TV & Film, one World Media Award 2019.
