Dmitry Davydov

Dmitry Davydov

is a film director, producer, scriptwriter, Honored Artist of the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia). Dmitry was born in the village of Amge in 1983. Dmitry wrote the script for his first feature film "Bonfire" which was shot in 2014. The film was released in 2016 and has been presented at over 20 international film festivals. In 2020, he released the feature film "Scarecrow" which won the Grand Prix, the Prize of Critics and the Best Actress of the 31st Kinotavr Film Festival. Dmitry’s major festival successes include Busan IFF, Rotterdam IFF, ImagineNATIVE, Tromso IFF, Maoriland IFF, Warsaw International Film Festival, Pacific Meridians, Arctic Open, Window to Europe, Movement, etc. Twice winner of the White Elephant Award, nominee for the Asian Pacific Screen Awards, "Nika", "Golden Raven", the award of the Kazakh Academy of Cinematography "Tulpar".
