This is a story of Rimma Khadieva, a student at the Art Institute for people with special needs. In this institute people affected by various medical conditions (Rimma had an infantile cerebral paralysis) are eager to become actors, musicians and painters. Throughout 2 year that we spent with Rimma we have been trying to understand how this bedridden girl from Kazan not only got herself on her feet but managed to get through important life milestones as education, creative work and the highest one – motherhood.

In 1970 Vladimir Levin graduated from the All-Russia State University of Cinematography (VGIK) as director. After the graduation he worked as writer and director on the Central Television, Central Studio of Documentary Films (CSDF), Filmstudio named after Gorky, “Mosfilm”, Odesskaya Filmstudio, Tashkentskaya Filmstudio, “Tsentrnauchfilm”. For 15 years he has been a lecturer at the Workshop of Victor Lisakovitch for directors at VGIK.
