This film is about Naum Korzhavin, Emka Mandel, one of the spiritual leaders of the 1960s, an outstanding poet, brave and honest man. His fate brought him many trials: Lubyanskaya prison, exile and forced immigration. We spent 7 days with this talented and charming man just before his complicated cancer surgery. 7 days between life and death, 7 attempts to survive.

Pavel Mirzoev
was born in 1977 in Moscow. In 1998 he graduated from the Russian Law Academy of Ministry of Justice of RF and later in 2008 he graduated from the All-Russian State University of Cinematography (VGIK, Workshop of V.Y. Abdrashitov) as director. Currently Pavel works as script writer and director.
