graduated from Aviation and Engineering Institute in Ribinsk, Russia. In 1987 he graduated from the All-Russian State Institute of Cinematography (VGIK) as film cameraman. Since 1987 he has been living and working in Saint-Petersburg. He worked as director of photography at “Lenfilm” Studio, as director and scriptwriter of documentary films, camera man for "Kultura” TV channel. He is an author and director of several documentary films shot at Saint-Petersburg Documentary Film Studio and author of several books. Sergey is a member of Russian Filmmakers Union, Russian Guild of Film Cameramen, Member of Imago and Russian Guild of Non-Fiction Films.
