All day long, 18-year-old Parisa Pouladi from early morning till late at night, is occupied with one thing: getting ready for university entrance exam. Along with more than a million other high school graduates in Iran, Parisa hopes she will be accepted to a top-notch college. Of all the students taking the exam, less than a half will pass. Most applicants are girls, who consider college education their only chance for a good job.

Khatereh Hanachi
was born in 1980. She has a Master degree in Science. From 2001 through to 2003 she passed a course of documentary and TV filmmaking. In 2002, she made her first documentary «Of a Terrestrial Life». «Mute Death» produced in 2004 was her second one. In 2006, after attending another workshop of documentary filmmaking, she made «Yaser’s Kids». «Countdown», her latest documentary, is outcome of the workshop of BBC Trust World Service.
