Mohamed, a Pakistani tailor, and Singh, his Indian employee, work together in an 8m2 store in the heart of Barcelona’s Raval district, one of the city’s poorest neighborhoods. Mohamed is very ill-tempered and the only thing he cares for is his business and his religious belief. Singh is a 50 years old Indian immigrant recently arrived in Barcelona, who works illegally for a miserable amount of money.

Oscar Pérez

Oscar Pérez

was born in Girona (Spain) in 1973. He studied in England at the The London College of Communication where he obtained a Bachelor’s Degree in Film. He started lecturing creative documentary at Autónoma University in Barcelona, and currently, he is lecturing at Pompeu Fabra University in Barcelona and ESCAC (Film school in Barcelona). In 2010, he founded Getsemaní Produccions, where he produced and codirected ‘Hollywood Talkies’ (2011), a feature length documentary that was premiered in competition at Venice IFF and at FICX Xixon. Nowadays, he’s producing and directing ‘The final stretch’, a documentary about a community paralysed by the recession in a place where the land is gradually disappearing swallowed by the sea.
