Saint Nicolai’s Belogorsky monastery in Perm region. This film was made due to the help and blessing of now deceased head of this monastery - Father Varlaam. His story about the history of the White Mountain, of monastery itself and its renaissance as a spiritual Orthodox center in the Urals is full of historical and real wonders.

Sergey Knyazev

was born in Shargino village, Altai region. After school he worked as a City Amateur film studio. He taught the subject of sinema technique and cinema educatuin. S.Knyazev also graduated from the LIKI. In 1990 he shot the film «What It Takes To Be Happy». In 1991 he published the book of his poems and made the cinema-magazine «The Holiday Of The North».
