Ivan is 11 years of age. He is the first tenor in youngest orchestra of Jugoslavia. We see Mahala, gipsy disttrict of a small village in the south of Serbia with his eyes. There all day long the music sounds executed by the three local brass bands without a break. The most important for Ivan and his friends is to represent uncles, cousins and grandfathers.. All year long these instruments sound weddings, christenings and funerals... There comes August, and in couple of days the brass band festival in Gucha begins.
