Ekaterina Mikhailova joined the army in 1941, being oung enough. She was a nurse, scout, commando - a woman of an amazing fate. As a pert of the marines battalion she moved from Tampyuk to Vienna. She lead the marines attacks and was told legends about. 20 years later Katya Mikhailova becomes a doctor - Ekaterina Illarionovna Dyomina.

The film was awarded with a prize at Leiptzig International Festival in 1964. As a result of the survey made among cinema critics in 1995, the film entered the list of the top 15 Russian documentaries.
