How can we define the genre of the film? A documentary comedy? The film focuses around an extraordinary hero - a smart adventurer and careless rogue, an optimistic wag and reckless and buoyant person, reminding us about "Scapin's Tricks". Both his brhaviour and the film itself have something in common with the swindling novel, folk masks and street farce. "Scapin's" role is performed by Boris Smirnov, the film director's friend and fellow-student, who was working as a sanitary equipment technician at the moment of filming.
