Ira Kormannshaus – festival worker, translator, journalist. A representative of German Documentaries in Eastern Europe. Studied social sciences, Russian and film studies. Working with film festivals around the world. Member of German AG DOK as well as Russian RG DOC. Jury member at festivals in Berlin, Wiesbaden, Petersburg, Tirana, Moscow etc. German Documentaries is the international label for the promotion of German documentary films abroad. An initiative of the German Documentary Association AG DOK and German Films Service + Marketing, 'German Documentaries' presents German non-fiction films at international festivals and markets and organizes co-production meetings and film series. 'German Documentaries' also publishes an annual catalog featuring some 200 new films available for distribution worldwide.
