Flahertiana Forum held a meeting with representatives of world film funds

Flahertiana Forum – the industrial platform of the Flahertiana festival – has completed a series of master classes from European experts. Until December 19, Russian-speakers can watch meetings with professionals on the festival's YouTube channel (the events were held online with simultaneous translation). Live streams are also preserved in the videos of the festival pages in the VK and FB.

One of the most important meetings was the discussion “Industry Opportunities in Europe”, where representatives of the largest European film support platforms could take part. During it, Isabel Arrate Fernandez, Managing Director of the IDFA Bertha Fund, Roland Löbner, Coordinator of DOK Film Market & DOK Industry Services of Dok Leipzig festival, Gudula Meinzolt Head of Industry at Visions du Réel festival and Alex Schiriaeff, Project manager at B2B DOC platform told how filmmakers can get support from their companies.

Now the participants of the pitching and forum, having got acquainted with the experience of their colleagues, begin to discuss their projects. Discussions will be held in two formats: Q&A sessions and individual meetings with potential producers and experts. Participants from Russia, Georgia, Armenia, Ukraine, and Turkey will present their projects to over 60 experts from different countries.

In addition, on December 14, online pitching of film projects dedicated to the city's 300th anniversary took place in Perm. In total, 9 projects of future films were presented. Each of them can receive financial support and be implemented until 2023.

This year, Flahertiana Forum, French association Docmonde, German non-fiction film association AG DOK, and SiberiaDoc have joined forces in the project “Real Stories from the East 2020 goes digital”. The project is being implemented within the framework of the German Documentaries project with the support of the German Federal Foreign Office.
