Masterclass "The Blurring Margins of Fiction and Non-Fiction"

Film editor and head of the editing department at Satyajit Ray Film and Television Institute in Kolkata, India, Saikat Sekhareswar Ray will discuss new trends in documentary filmmaking, where the line between fiction and non-fiction is increasingly blurred, using the film "Day After..." as an example. The documentary film "Day After..." is the winner of the Harrell Award at the 2022 Camden International Film Festival and the Open Doors award at Locarno; it was nominated for the Golden Eye at the Zurich Film Festival and the International Competition at IDFA 2021 in Amsterdam. A special screening will take place at Flahertiana Festival on September 17th at 20:20 in Hall 5.
