The film-portrait is devoted to one of the contemporary Russian philosophers, the head of Perm philosophical school prof. Vladimir Orlov. He argues with Kant, speculates about infinitive human’s nature and Hegel’s “wild melody”. At the same time he is portrayed as a public figure and university teacher. The authors of the film tried to show, how the deep inner world of this person impacts on reality and transforms it; the space acquires direction and the time flows faster. Prof. Orlov believes in the intellect’s creating power and loves life. He realizes these human values in his activity, in spite of social-historical drama of the 1990th years.
