FLAHERTIANA FORUM: Impact Campaigns & Audience Development – How to Unleash the Power of Documentaries

Workshop by Anna Ramskogler-Witt (Director, Human Rights Film Festival Berlin)

Anna Ramskogler-Witt will give you a deeper insight into the concept of impact production and how you can create more awareness and a larger audience for your film using some best-case examples but also sharing her experience from the Climate Story Lab Berlin that was part of the Human Rights Film Forum 2020.

The Human Rights Film Festival Berlin shows stories from all parts of the world that vividly address and reflect on human action, the socio-political status quo and fundamental issues such as democracy, justice, freedom and environmental protection. Functioning as a bridge between NGOs, filmmakers, journalists and the public audience, we seek to inspire and engage audiences with social justice and human rights issues.  Within the Festival’s Forum we aim to create an international and transdisciplinary platform to connect, exchange ideas and create a greater impact for a brighter future together. In 2020 we focused on the impact of the climate crisis and hosted the Climate Story Lab Berlin, discussion how storytellers in cooperation with other actors like scientists, NGOs or decision-makers can achieve long-lasting change and attention for their project.
