NATIONAL COMPETITION “RUSSIAN FLAHERTIANA”

Attention to the inner world of humans is one of the central themes of the films in this year's National Competition. The protagonists seek their path in the taiga, forests, and small villages of our vast country ("Old Man", "Seven Days of Autumn", "LIVE IN LYUBIMOVO"), find and test their faith ("Holly Joe", "What I Believe," "Holy Light"), construct their world around them ("Life Goes On", "Saving Land", "Fathers"), and embrace life in all its diversity.

The works of young directors, still seeking their voices, and the consistent participants of "Flahertiana", expressing themselves with renewed strength and conviction – all these elements constitute the twenty films of the National Competition, meticulously curated by the festival president, Pavel Pechenkin.
