Karen Guthrie

was raised on the west coast of Scotland. With co-producer Nina Pope they founded Somewhere in 1995 and have since worked together on many creative projects and commissions, winning the Northern Art Prize in 2007 for their films and installations. Karen continues to work as an artist alongside her film-making. The Closer We Get is Karen’s solo directorial debut.
