“Looking on the Other Bank” is a set of 8 stories telling of significant places or people in different cities. Film is a part of cross-media project, all the participants of which are ordinary people of various age and professions making films. Authors are their own film characters, too, no matter if they intended it or not: watching the world through camera lens changes their attitude to the world and themselves.

Evgeny Grigoriev
was born on 17 March 1979, in a small village called Koshuki, Sverdlovsk region. He studied journalism and worked at television. He didn't finish his studies in the Mechanical Woodworking Technical School and in the Ural State University but graduated from VGIK (the All-Russian State Institute of Cinematography). He shot 8 films, received awards at the festivals, became a dad, shot a lot of advertisements, videos and TV series, directed one performance. At the moment he is a student of Moscow Art Theatre School (workshop of Kirill Serebrennikov) and the President of the Documentary Film and Television Guild.
