Raitis, a gifted mathematician, is consumed with a psychological dependency from his mother, Sylvia. Unlucky with the opposite sex, he blames his parents for creating him emotionally unfit for life. He approaches a shady psychoanalyst and files a report with police, accusing his mother of emotional blackmail. Sylvia prefers portraying herself as a victim, who's sacrificed her life for her children.

Ieva Ozolina

was born in 1974, Riga. Studied sculpture and ceramics in the Academy of Arts of Latvia. For more than ten years designed museum exhibitions, did production design for theatre shows, participated in art symposiums and art shows. Due to her personal interest in human relationships and implementation of that in art, took up film studies in the Academy of Culture of Latvia. "Solving My Mother" is her second documentary.
