Sergey Miroshnichenko

Sergey Miroshnichenko

was born in Chelyabinsk in 1955. In 1983, he graduated from the All-Russian State Institute of Cinematography (documentary faculty, A.S. Kochetkov’s workshop). He worked with Sverdlovsk film studio, and Nikita Mikhalkov’s studio “TRITE” until founding his own studio “Ostrov” in 1999. Since 1998, he has been working as a professor at the Gerasimov Institute of Cinematography (VGIK). Winner of multiple Russian and international awards.
