The film was made in the homeland of writer Fyodor Abramov, in the village Verkola of Arkhangelsk region. Ultimately, this film is an attempt to create a cinematic image of the world, natural, historical and spiritual surroundings that the characters created by this amazing writer lived in.

Sergei Skvortsov

was born 21 October, 1949 in Volgograd. Studied at the economic faculty of Perm State University (speciality Economic Cybernetics). In 1979 he graduated cinematographer’s faculty in VGIK with a speciality Operator-Journalist (class of А. Galperin, A. Kaloshin, G. Prozhiko). From 1979 he had been working as a director and operator at Leningrad Documentary Film Studio (now – St. Petersburg Documentary Film Studio).

Pavel Kogan

Pavel Kogan

was born on 9 June 1931 in Leningrad. In 1956 he graduated from economic faculty of LSU, in 1964 – Theatre studies faculty of GITIS (class of B. Lvov-Anokhin). Worked as assistant director, from 1964 г. — director at LDFS, also worked on television. Kogan is the author and presenter of «Cinema and Time» program (Leningrad TV). In 1971-1991 taught TV directing at LGITMiK. Honoured artist of the RSFSR (1980). He died on 3 November 1998.
