Aleksei Vakhrushev
Aleksei Vakhrushev
was born in 1969 in Anadyr, Chukotka. He graduated as a filmmaker from the Gerasimov Institute of Cinematography (VGIK) in 1996. He worked as a screenwriter and a documentary filmmaker at M-FILM studio (Moscow), collaborated with Ethno-online company, and Channel One. Since 2009, he is the general producer and filmmaker of Vysokie Shiroty studio (Moscow). Member of the Nika Academy of Cinema Arts and Science, laureate of national and international festivals, research staff member of Ethnology and Anthropology Institute of Russian Academy of Sciences (Audiovisual Research Centre).
