This film is a life chronicle of shift workers at a mining quarry in Eastern Siberia. Workers spend most of their lives away from home and their loved ones doing manual labour for 12 hours a day for the only decent earnings in their region.

Dmitry Kargapolov
was born and raised in Pskov. In high school, he started making amateur films. For two years he studied directing feature films at St. Petersburg State Institute of Film and Television (workshop of K. Gevorkyan). In 2017, he transferred to directing documentary films under master P. Medvedev.
