Nikolay Volkov
was born in 1952 in the town of Chaplygin, Lipetsk region. In 1981, he graduated from the cinematography department of VGIK. As a cinematographer at the Leningrad Documentary Film Studio, he shot more than 80 non-fiction films with leading documentary filmmakers. Laureate of international, USSR and Russian film festivals. Professor of the Department of Cinematography, St. Petersburg State University of Film and Television.
