When an ordinary guy’s ambitious dream about actor’s career meets cruel reality, the life very often turns into a tragedy or drama. Film’s plot is based on a traditional for a Russian provincial theater conflict: everyone’s dream of being Hamlet. But what if a person is a comec by nature? To what kind of a play he will be put by this dramatic life? In the title this film is named as a tragic comedy on actor’s life.

Pavel Petchenkin
was born in 1956. Director and producer. He has been awarded multiple international film festivals’ prizes. He is the President of IDFF Flahertiana, a member of the Russian Filmmakers Union, a member of the Russian Film Academy.
