Theater Behind Barbed Wire (16+)

The history of a unique theater founded in 1943 in Vorkutlag at the behest of two Muscovites – the warden and the prisoner (Mikhail Maltsev and Boris Mordvinov). Every day, actors and musicians came out of the barracks onto the stage at gunpoint to perform and save their lives. During the war years The Vorkutlag Music and Drama Theater showed 600 performances a year, and the troupe consisted of 150 actors. Their children, grandchildren and friends became the heroes of this film.

Inna Kokorina

graduated from the Novosibirsk Theater School. She worked as an actress of the Perm Youth Theater and the Novosibirsk Globus Theater. From 2004 to 2010 she worked at the TV company "Civilization" (Moscow). As a director of documentaries, she collaborates with various studios and TV channels.
