The film introduces us to a team of meteorologists living on the northern peninsula of Kanin Nos at the intersection of the White and Barents Seas. Their names are Zhenya and Vanya. Zhenya is the head of the weather station, Vanya is a junior meteorologist and household assistant. The ship "Mikhail Somov" comes once a year, delivers food – and the heroes are left alone until next spring. 9 months alone with each other in the snowy desert is a test that the heroes of the film are going through for the seventh time.
